1964
The creator
This journey starts with the man who made the bed and breakfast to what it is today: Gianni Malerba. Gianni has over 25 years of hotel industry experience, worked in over 11 countries and opened 5 5-star hotels in Africa and the Middle East.
Recently, he celebrated his 60th birthday, which was a beautiful moment during which he shared his favorite cocktail with all guests.
His unmistakingly Italian charm and hospitality will not leave you untouched; staying here is like coming home. Gianni will be there to take care of you and your loved ones.
2022
The renovations
The purchase of the property in the Astridlaan was the start of a relocation plan for the Malerba family. Nina (mama) and the kids (Corrado and Leonardo) transferred from Croatia to Belgium and started the integration process in Belgium – learning Dutch and French in school, new friends, new sports… Gianni took a few years longer before he could rejoin and focus on renovating the property to become an 8-bedroom bed and breakfast.
Now
It's a family affair
We have opened the doors to our home, feel free to join us and stay for as long as you like. We enjoy the finer things of life and welcome you to take part in our lifestyle.
You can often find us in the garden: the boys practising judo moves and we can be seen drinking wine next to the river the Jeker.
